Layered Necklaces

what can be more charming than a tiny gold necklace around a womans neck? gold is warm and the neck is a very sensual part of the womans body i think. and these delicate, thin necklaces that are on trend right now attract attention though they are so tiny.

i love to layer them, three are just perfect for me, and this combination is my favorite at the moment. though, i have different ones as well and when it comes to the necklace alone i like them more.

and for this trend you don't have to get the expensive ones, there are tons of nice affordable alternatives out there. cause, you know, it's not  all (real) gold that glitters.

Stripes and Leather

a few weeks ago i was on a blogger meeting at the fair trade 'the gallery' in düsseldorf, hosted by style ranking.
this was my outfit for the day, and the 'happy' face was caused by my shoe that broke just 5 minutes before we took the picture. the strap around the ankle just teared off and i had no other pair of shoes with me. thank god my 'blogger' friend daniel was there as well, who happens to live near my place and helped me to get home safe. thank you :-*

this outfit is almost head to toe zara, what happens quite often lately. major sale discounts' to blame^^

The Mango Lookbook

i just fell in love...no, not with daria, that happened years ago^^
and not with mango, but with the lookbook! i love the shots, i always do. but then i run to mango with tons of things on my mind and actually end up with nothing...mostly i don't like how the clothing fits and they look rather cheap in real life. but this lookbook is just over the top!
these are my favorites, and i think i at least have to give one of the white jackets a chance and take a closer look when they hit the store.
see the full lookbook here

Marble Marble

another thing the 90s revival brought back: marble.
yes, marble. absolutely trendy in the 90s and absolute kitsch a long time afterwards.
funny how something that was such a big no-go for years can appear so fresh and sophisticated.

and since there are people like Joyce from MyDubio we all can diy that great trend so easily at home. so grap some marble foil and give that old flower pot a mare-over!

Valentines Day

i always loved this image! and this goes out to all my single ladies out there!
as a longtime single i have to say i can be alone with myself, i complete me. i learned it the hard way (btw, is there any other way to learn sth? if yes, let me know^^).
i think it's really important, you gotta be comfortable with yourself, then others will be comfortable with you as well.
don't settle with someone that doesn't deserve you, make sure you get the appreciation and attention you deserve. make sure your man treats you right, and if not - say good-bye! life's too short to be stuck with the wrong man.

Comfy Dressing

a quick outfit post from yesterdays outfit. i know, this coat makes me look huge, but it's so comfy and i like it. and i guess thats all that matters, right?
this actually is one of those outfits i wear when i don't feel too comfortable. it's easy, legere and i feel good wearing it. would be a perfect sunday outfit as well. you know, those times you don't feel like dressing all up.

Inspiration

heres a little inspiration on home office. a beautiful workspace at home can be a quite nice addition to  the interior decoration and give your whole apartment a creative touch.
i'm looking for some change, and as i won't move as quickly as i hoped, i have to change some things. my desk is really boring and it's quite hard to get creative and motivated to work at home.
i gotta change that! and hopefully these inspirations will help me to change what i have with a minimal cost factor.

The Swoosh

this undone sophisticated hair do is not new, but definitely one of the hottest styles at the moment, and worth a mention.
it's a must for every cool kid on the block, and for me the best the 90s revival brought yet (remember cindy crawford and leo dicaprio?!).

it works with almost every hair, if curly, straight, messy or with a perfect salon blow-out.
it almost instantly gives you a sexy, nonchalant and wild look, no matter if your hair is long or short.

the secret to this style: volume volume volume.
so get your volume spray, hair dryer and some volume powder and your ready for this seasons hottest style.

for best results spray volume spray (e.g. bumble and bumble thickening hair spray) to the roots, blow dry hair upside down until almost dry.
then blow-dry roots in the opposite direction as you want them to lie (that gives them extra volume) and let them cool down.
now comb hair with your fingers and 'swoosh' (flip) your hair to the side.
give some volume powder to the roots for the wawawhooom volume.
for a messy look you can add some sea salt spray or texturing cream.
and thats it!
