Natural Beauty

lately i'm absolutely into the natural look. wether it's makeup or hair, less is more for me. i'm so over the done look, with perfect curled or straight hair, the perfect matte teint with a cat eye and red lips.
NO THANKS!

one thing that i'm so done with, and i never really liked, is the matte teint look.
all of my girls are OBSESSED with looking all matte, every little glow gets killed right away with tons of powder and called 'greasy' skin. but it's their choice. they CAN have the glow, the 'freshly moisturized' look, they simply don't want to.
for me that was no option the last years, cause acne covering make up and a natural glow don't go together. if you want to hide your cysts and scars you gotta go matte.
but now my skin is getting better, after all this years, and i start to love highlighters and shimmer all over my face.
don't mistake me, i'm not talking about glitter! not at all! i'm talking about a soft shimmer on cheekbones, nose and forehead. and the perfect foundation for the natural look is the 'le teint touche eclat' from yves saint laurent. it has a light to medium coverage and perfectly reflects light which lets your skin look so fresh and moisturized.
for the look i focus on my skin, try to let it shine and look healthy, i use a beige-rose blush and some bronzer to contour and blend and fix it with some 'mineral veil' powder from bare minerals.
i keep the eyes natural and just use a subtle natural color of my urban decay 'naked' palette.
i skip the mascara and accent my eyebrows with my mac eyebrow pencil in 'fling' which is the perfect color for me.
as i can't skip the lips as a lipstick junkie, and cause it's a natrural look, i prefer a nude shade. as most of the classic nudes don't suit me, i go for a more pinkish shade, which lets me look fresh and healthy.

for the hair i just use some volume and sea salt spray and let it air dry to get the perfect beachy waves. lately i'm quite obsessed with natural blonde shades. since last summer i'm trying to grow out the color and get back to my natural haircolor and then just glaze it to get this ally mcbeal dark blonde look (here).

who else likes this natural glow look? whats your number one beauty trend for spring/summer?

Hello Spring

i'm so glad that spring is here and temperature is rising. to see flowers and trees blooming boosts my mood every time, and now is the time! and i think nothing represents the first weeks of spring better than tulips, so i had to get some at the market on saturday, it highlights every room you put it in!

light trenchcoats, wide leatherpants and slip ons are all big trends this spring, so i combined them in one outfit. and oh, that zara necklace, it was love at first sight! i think pearls are going to have a big revivals, but we will see!
and no, i don't see a problem wearing black in spring. you don't need to wear colors to have a colorful live^^

so far, so good! enjoy the sun and blooming trees my loves, cause i definitely will!^^
